ADVANTAGES OF EMPLOYEE GROUP INSURANCE BENEFITS

Employee benefits have become an attractive part of total compensation to employees in today’s work place.  The rising costs of drugs and health related expenses can be financially devastating to employees and their families.  SFL wants to take care of their family and make sure they offer quality & affordable Health Insurance Benefits.

Being an employer of choice, means that you offer a great place to work and more. Small businesses can also compete with larger compagnies by offering employees benefits such as health, dental, disability insurance at a fraction of the cost of individual coverage.

Plus, no medical evidence or medical questions required.

Why you should enrol in a group benefits plan?

The main reason to enrol in a benefits plan is that our future health is unknown.  Taking part in a group benefits plan from the onset of an open enrolment ensures that you will have coverage with no medical questions regardless of your current health conditions.

Is employee participation mandatory or optional?

If your franchise offers benefits, the participation is mandatory for all employees working 20+ hours per week.

What if you, as a Franchisee you don’t enrol in the plan during the open enrolment?

The franchisee who doesn’t enrol in the plan during open enrolment becomes a late applicant. A late applicant would need to have all its employees complete satisfactory medical evidence in order to be eligible for the plan at a later date.

An employee and/or dependent are not guaranteed to be approved at a later date. If late applicant is denied coverage, they will not be eligible for benefits throughout their duration of employment with Simply for Life and under the current Group Benefits.
